I just want to thank you and especially the sighted volunteers so much for everything you have done to make this service possible. I had one of my most treasured memories (a photo) described in detail, and it was such an amazing description and I cannot thank you enough for it.

Those who have assisted me in what’s happening in pictures have been extraordinarily kind, descriptive and tentative.

I think your BeSpecular app is brilliant. Very innovative and user friendly. It just keeps getting better with every update. As someone who is facing my own potential blindness due to pigmentary glaucoma, I love this idea of bringing visually impaired persons directly in contact with sighted persons through everyday technology as a means of furthering positive communication and assistance. I believe we all benefit, regardless which side of the visual spectrum we are on. Thank you so much for letting me be a small part.

I just wanted to say how thrilled I am to be part of the testing process and being able to support VIP across the globe in such a easy, non imposing way. Every time I get the opportunity to help somebody it feels like I’ve just won the lottery!

One of the main things I like about BeSpecular, is that it really helps me to recognise and appreciate the little things that we 'sightlings' take for granted and also that I can be of some help in making someone's day a little easier.

Bespecular è il classico esempio di come la tecnologia può far sentire meno pesante il non vedere! Semplice, efficace e di utilità enorme per un cieco che vive in autonomia! Una delle più belle scoperte del team di NvApple.it! Thanks to Giacomo & Stephanie!

Thank you so much for creating this app. I absolutely love the flexibility it gives me, providing enough human interaction that the job gets done, while not making me commit to a full on call. It is easy and straightforward.

The Sightlings I’ve dealt with have really helped me in many, many ways. Even when I’ve had to make 3 requests that have been very patient. The Tips & Tricks section is really helpful regarding how far to pull the camera away from the object. This is a great app and I hope it does not go away anytime soon! This is about as good as a barcode reader, but even better because of the human interaction. Keep up the good work!

I love BeSpecular. I am a semi retired teacher of young children. I love the thought I may be able to help people live a happier productive life.

BeSpecular is a terrific way to share with others. The app allows you to assist others in their everyday activities by matching your vision/sight with their need. It could be something as simple as reading the label on a can of soup or helping them to determine what a picture is that they have taken on their phone. If you are not able to answer the request when it comes in, that’s okay, it will go on to the next person/sightling so they can provide the description of the visual picture.
Everyone who has requested assistance has been so very grateful and has expressed genuine appreciation for the assistance provided. It is really nothing on my part to take five seconds to describe something that might take them an extended period to do.
It’s kind of nice to know that we live in a world where people can appreciate one another, share with each other, and help to make the world a nicer place for all.

I’ve enjoyed this beta of the BeSpecular very much. You guys have done an awesome job of making this ever so VoiceOver accessible for the iPhone. I am so very impressed!

The app is wonderful. It works really well and I like how you are notified when how many people are responding. Also, it is well labelled and easy to navigate. I also like how you can take multiple pictures and send them to make identification easier.

Penso che sia una applicazione eccezionale...in grado di aiutare gli amici non vedenti in una maniera del tutto nuova. Questa app li aiuta ad essere un po' più indipendenti...e tutto ciò è meraviglioso.
